Two Woods Estate in West Sussex

A magical woodland wedding venue

First impressions – pure magic in Pulborough

WOW – just WOW! Two Woods Estate in Pulborough, West Sussex, might just be the most magical wedding venue I’ve ever visited.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I LOVE a barn, a manor house, an open field – my own wedding was in a barn, and most of my couples choose similar venues (and you can’t blame them – they’re bloomin’ lovely!). But every now and then, a couple enquires about a quirkier, more alternative space.

So, when a couple I’d met previously at a different venue booked me for their wedding at Two Woods Estate, I immediately jumped onto their website and socials for a nosy. Let me tell you – the photos don’t do it justice, and my iPhone snaps certainly couldn’t capture the true magic of this place.

A warm welcome and a truly special atmosphere

When I arrived at the glorious Two Woods Estate, I was greeted by the lovely Rob and Woody – old school friends who are deeply passionate about their venue. Rob gave me a tour, and I was instantly blown away. Magic oozes from every corner, and I couldn’t stop smiling – I knew I was somewhere special.

We started in the getting-ready space, a cosy loft area with a kitchenette, leather sofas, and charming ornaments. It’s not overly fancy, but it feels like home – the perfect place to relax. Couples have access to the venue the day before their wedding, can stay here on their wedding night, and if they need five minutes to decompress on the big day, this is the perfect spot.

One of the biggest perks? Two Woods Estate hosts a maximum of 50 weddings per year – meaning no back-to-back events and no “conveyor belt” vibe. You have exclusive use from the day before until midday the following day.

Relaxed vibes and freedom to choose your suppliers

Two Woods Estate is wonderfully relaxed – ideal for celebrant-led ceremonies. Rob and Woody are hands-on and genuinely invested in each couple’s day.

You can bring in your own suppliers, with the only condition being that they handle the drinks. There’s no stuffy package; everything is bespoke.

The bar area is cool, trendy, and totally my cup of tea! From there, you step into a party space complete with a stage for a DJ or live band, perfectly in keeping with the venue’s rustic charm.

Outdoor magic – receptions among the trees

Attached to the main space is a bright conservatory, perfect for smaller wedding breakfasts, but the real showstopper is the outdoor reception area.

Nestled among towering trees, it’s an enchanting space where guests can celebrate under the canopy of nature.

Rob shared how they’ve carefully improved this area – patio heaters, dropdown canopies, and a suntrap patio – all designed to be practical while preserving its rustic charm. It’s clear their shared passion and creativity are what make this venue so unique.

I got the sense that Rob and Woody always have a project on the go, bringing a refreshing buzz and enthusiasm to the venue.

Hidden gems – from the stone circle to the wood house

Away from the reception area, Rob led me to the stone circle – a wonderful spot for wedding photos or even speeches. If you’re a summer solstice fan, this one’s for you!

He also showed me their latest project: the Wood House. Styled like a ranch barn, it will be a beautiful wet-weather backup space, complete with skylights and a fireplace.

Wedding guests will be able to stay immersed in nature while keeping warm and dry – a win-win for granny!

The breathtaking ceremony space

Then came the grand reveal – the ceremony space. The redwood-lined aisle literally took my breath away.

Without question, it’s the most unique wedding ceremony setting I’ve ever seen to date. It embodies pure escapism – you could marry here and feel like the only people in the world. Utterly enchanting.

Afterwards, Rob showed me the meadow, where guests can camp if they fancy a festival-style celebration. There’s even a campfire and bar area – the perfect end to a magical woodland wedding.

Sustainability and heart at the core

Being a woodland venue, Rob encourages couples to consider the environment – so if you’re set on plastic flowers or glittery décor, Two Woods might not be the best fit.

As we made our way back, I couldn’t help but feel excited for the wedding I have booked here in 2027. Hearing Rob say he’d recommend me to future couples genuinely made my day.

Two Woods Estate may look like a timeless, ethereal woodland escape – and it truly is – but at its heart are two wonderful people dedicated to giving every couple their dream wedding.

As a celebrant, that personal touch resonates deeply with me.

If you’re dreaming of a woodland wedding in West Sussex, Two Woods Estate is a must-visit. It’s relaxed, romantic, and bursting with heart – a venue that feels as magical as your love story.
